Kiss Everlasting French Manicure kit

Okay so I'm just going to dive in and review this amazing kit I received from my influenster spring voxbox. First off I was amazed at all the wonderful goodies I got but the one that left me kind of wondering if I'll even use is the Kiss Everlasting French Manicure kit.

I was skeptic of how well this kit would work for me so I decided to give it a try. Please take note I had little faith in this product as it looked childish and I didn't think it would last.. I was so wrong!

I love this kit! so far.. hehe but it is a wonderful kit that is easy to apply and all done in less than ten minutes. The drying time was none and my nails feel really sturdy. I really did want to try this kiss set because I have thin peeling nails and wanted something that would cost me less than $30 or even $15 and I'm so happy to share that this wonderful kit only retails for $6.99 to $7.99. I have seen these at my local Walgreens and CVS.

So what comes in this kit?  The Kiss Everlasting french kit contains 28 French Nails a tube of pink gel glue 0.07 US oz. A mini file and a Manicure stick. (not shown)

Well my final verdict: I love this product! I will be shopping and purchasing more from Kiss and trying some of their more colorful nail kits and  I can't wait!

Do you prefer lipstick or lip gloss? Well I prefer lipstick, I love the creamy feel of a good lipstick because a lot of lip gloss is really tacky and sticky and well I don't like that feeling. 

What’s the biggest beauty splurge you ever made? I have to say my biggest beauty splurge was a purchase of two Chanel nail polishes. Considering what the items are and the price tag. Yes this was huge for me. 

What’s your best beauty tip? never sleep with your makeup on. Get that stuff off! 

What’s one beauty purchase you regret? well so far it's my urban decay vice 2 palette, I mean I love it but it just doesn't blend well for me. I kind of want to sell it. 

What’s your favorite fashion accessory? I have to say it is a necklace my best girl friend Denise got me. She gave it to me for my birthday last year but I wear that thing everyday. It is so me, it has a pearl and my initial. I love that thing! 

Do you wear only one type of mascara at a time or do you layer multiple ones? I only wear one at a time but I do switch them out. I'm always on the hunt for my holy grail but so far I think it is my Mary Kay Ultimate mascara.


What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine? Nylon I don't always buy it but when I do I read front to back. 

What is one beauty item that is under hyped in the beauty community? I think it is the Fergie wet n wild eye primer. As long as they keep making that I will never have to buy a high end one ever again. I'm in love with that primer but it does not include the shimmer one. I don't dig that one as much. 

If you could only buy one beauty brand for the rest of your life, which company would you choose? Origins.  Hands down!

What is your Holy Grail eye shadow palette? right now it is my Too Faced  palette called a few of my favorite things. My husband bought this for me for christmas and I love it.

7 / Your type of skin (face and body)? Hair? I have combination skin t-zone oily and super dry everywhere else. My hair is frizzy and curly but it is healthy.

IONI Cosmetics

So I was online watching one of my favorite Youtube makeup gurus when she mentioned Ioni Cosmetics. I had never seen or heard of this brand before but she gave them a good review. I decided I wanted to check them out someday but then I heard they were less than $3 bucks and well you know I'm a sucker for a good deal. I later find out that you can only find these online or at a Fred's, of course I got sad but then I remembered my wonderful mom in law had a Fred's by her in Alabama! I messaged her stat! Well to make this short she sent me these goodies!

I received four blushes, three lippies, and a shadow primer. I had asked for these specifically except the red gloss (but I'm super duper happy I got that one!) 

 All of the blushes are amazing! even more so because they only cost $2.50 each! I love these so much! they are super soft, rich in color, and they last pretty long. I just have to warn you a little goes a long way  with these blushes, just a small dab with your brush and a light touch is all you need for these blushes.

Now onto the lip gloss.. I love the color of these babies the Cinema and Cappuccino are very opaque while the Razzle is sheer. They are not sticky at least to me so I like them. I do have to mention after using Cinema (I am obsessed with this color) the suction where the wand sticks into broke. Huge bummer but I can still use it with another lip brush and it works fine. Hey I'm not going to complain they were only a DOLLAR yep that is correct $1 dollar, so that being said these are worth the buy. Again the colors a beautiful and they last a good while, did I mention they leave a stain? yes yes they do!

 Last but not least is the eyeshadow primer.  I like this primer not love but like. It does a good job with lasting power and the color of your eyeshadow does pop but I find the texture goopy and sticky. That was a big annoyance to me but for $1 dollar I'm happy with it and will continue to use it. As you can see its sheer and does blend in well.

Overall I love this line of cosmetics, they need to work on the packaging a little more but the pricing is just right. I will continue to use these products and I plan to buy more.

Rain checks! have you ever heard of these? if not well now you have! rain checks are slips of paper a store issues you if something they have on sale is all out. It's not your fault they ran out so they give you a rain check. They promise (as long as you show them and turn in your rain check) they will honor an item's old sale price. This is awesome if you have a coupon for these items when they do get the items in stock.

Stores that give rain checks are

CVS they will honor the rain check up to a year this includes extra care bucks.

TARGET  they will have these under the item on sale or  you can go to the guest service desk. These last about 45 days. You can't get the gift cards they offer on rain check.

ULTA  yes ladies they offer rain checks! I have used these and love them! as long as the item is out of stock you can ask for these. I love these when it comes to NYX products.

Did you know that you can use coupons from your weekly ads that have manufacturer's coupons at other stores. Example Rite Aid has the ads with manufacturers coupons printed in them. You would normally think oh! okay I can only use the coupons at Rite Aid, but you can actually cut them out and use them anywhere that accept manufacturers coupons. Just remember as long as the coupon says manufacturers coupons they are usable at other locations and stores.

URBAN DECAY SALE AT ULTA

I know these have been up for a while on the Ulta  website but here is a heads up for those who didn't know. Right now Urban Decay has two eyeshadow palettes on sale. The Ammo shadow box which  my mom in law bought me at full price (GRRR) is now $12 bucks and The Deluxe shadow box is $10. Not bad considering earlier this year these where about $34 bucks a pop. Please note these two palettes are on the website they may not be available at the store.

Polish of the week

Polish I love this week is O.P.I 's  ARE WE THERE YET? (TOURING AMERICA COLLECTION) I really love the color of this polish its like a coral pinkish orange, perfect for the spring and summer months. This polish has a very very light shimmer to it and looks great on everyone! but if your on a tight budget and want one similar to this wonderful polish I really recommend Wet n Wild's Blazed. This polish is so pretty and for .99 cents you can't beat that. The polish is a bit shiny compared to O.P.I ARE WE THERE YET? but its a great dupe and you can find this polish at Target, Walgreens, or CVS.
